Get Leave to Live: The Living Mountain by Nan Shepherd

  • Golden Hare Books 68 St Stephen Street Edinburgh United Kingdom (map)

featuring hosts of the Have You Ever? podcast

Nan Shepherd’s The Living Mountain is a powerful book about walking in and around the Cairngorms. It’s enjoying a resurgence of popularity as people long to be closer to the world around us. Canongate have published a special hardback edition this year!

This engaging event will be framed around a live recording of Have You Ever? - a podcast about the power of shared experience and friendship. Hosts Rowan Morrison and Svein Clouston will introduce The Living Mountain and explore what the book means to them. Special guest Erlend Clouston, Nan’s literary executor, will give us a short talk about her legacy.
