Love and Ennui in Fictional Belfast

  • Golden Hare Books 68 St Stephen Street Edinburgh United Kingdom (map)

with authors Wendy Erskine & David Keenan

Join the authors behind two of 2019’s hottest fiction titles, both of which explore the unique character and history of Belfast.

Wendy Erskine’s debut short story collection Sweet Home contains ten stories featuring moments of real humanity and connection. While Erskine only allows trace amounts of the Troubles, this is the basis for David Keenan’s second novel For the Good Times, which focuses on a group of young friends working in a comic book shop operated by the IRA. Both writers have an eye for great dialogue and a dark streak of humour.

This event will be chaired by bookshop manager Julie Danskin.
