Small Press Conversations: Fairlight Books, Oxford

  • Golden Hare Books 68 St Stephen Street Edinburgh United Kingdom (map)

with Fairlight author Elizabeth Mac Donald and CEO Louise Boland

Fairlight Books, a small literary fiction publisher based in Oxford, has only been operating for a couple of years, but to us they’re proof that small presses are the future. With modern, distinctive book design and a flair for finding brilliant literary fiction, Fairlight are knocking it out of the park with their choice of writers.

We’re joined by one of those authors, Elizabeth Mac Donald, whose novel A Matter of Interpretation is about a young Scottish monk in the 12th century who is set the task of translating Aristotle. Also with us is Fairlight CEO Louise Boland: come and see what goes into small press publishing!
